I went back through some of my Sephora purchases and there were quite a few products that I regret buying, here are three of the more pricier regrets that I was convinced to buy through social media.
1. Huda Beauty- #FauxFilter Full Coverage Matte Foundation- $40.
When this was first released it was everywhere and it was originally getting great reviews because of how full coverage this product was. Then, slowly negative reviews began trickling out. The product is heavily fragranced or it broke some people out. My issue with the product is maybe the reason why some people like it so much. The coverage. This product will cover everything, to where it almost looks like a mask. The product was so thick and while it may cover my blemishes, redness and entire face, it made my pores look huge. It was also so cakey and sat on top of my skin. I absolutely hate this foundation!
2. Farmacy- Skin Dew Hydrating Essence
Once again, I feel like social media duped me! This product was recommended and hyped up by Glamzilla (love her!), but I was not able to really even use the product because the spray applicator shoots out a single, strong stream of liquid. Therefore, I could not really use it over make-up as I had intended. I then tried it as part of my skincare routine, but it did nothing for me-save your money!
3. Faisal- Skintune Blur Perfecting Primer Serum-$54.
This did not skin-tune me…it actually did nothing for my pores. They looked exactly the same! This was all over Instagram, but it did not live up to expectations at all. It is definitely overpriced, does not blur or fill in pores, and lastly, the consistency of the product changes really quickly and the dropper will not suck up or distribute the product.
Let me know if any of these products worked for you and what products you regret buying!
