Shreveport Haul

Hey everyone!
In my last post I said I would update you with swatches of Stila’s duo chrome magnificent metals glitter & glow. These definitely fall in line with the whole mermaid trend and they are all three gorgeous colors. The other colors in the line are very neutral or warm and these three colors are colorful and beautiful! I can’t wait to play with them!

Swatches (top to bottom): Into the Blue, Sea Siren, and Sunset Cove.

River’s swatches: she was so proud!

So, now to the actual post! I am just coming back from a little vacation with my family in Shreveport. I wasn’t even going to go shopping because I have so many things to try from the last few months especially from my six weeks of “unsupervised” Ulta and Sephora visits while working in Florida. But my mama talked me in to it! I actually like to think that I showed restraint, but honestly I just have almost everything that I have been wanting!
I bought two items from Khol’s. The first item is Lorac’s Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Men Tell No Tells palette which I think was released about 5 months ago. This is definitely not a spring or summer palette so I can see why maybe there was not a lot of hype around this product. It is a more fall toned palette and I was debating getting it when it came out. I ended up getting this limited edition palette because it was half off ($26). The shadow quality is very beautiful I really enjoy the first two rows color wise although they are outside of my comfort zone. There are 18 shades: 12 shimmers and 6 mattes. It also came with a deluxe mini Front of the Line PRO eye pencil in black. I played with it a bit and they blend very well and they are very pretty. If you can snatch it up half price I think that it is worth it. I also bought the Beauty and the Beast lip gloss collection. The collection of 5 cost $34 and honestly, I could have done with out them. I will likely wear them for work. They are comfortable and not sticky, but I hate the color Tres chic. Its a weird patchy brown. The other colors are nudes with one red and they are nice glosses that I can wear to work.
Crazy, but I did not buy anything in Sephora while in Shreveport and I only bought a few items from Ulta!

I bought the limited edition Love is the Foundation Brush from It brushes for Ulta. I bought this brush because the Youtuber thataylaa said it was a great brush. The brush is also made for a great cause and for every one purchased one brush is donated to the Look Good Feel Better Foundation.

I bought the Nyx Pro Foundation Mixer in White. I have been wanting to get this for a while and I finally did because I got the new Peach Perfect Foundation a couple of weeks ago and I am in love, but I bought a color that was too dark for me online. And I do not know how many of my foundations are in the lightest colors that are too dark! I hope this works and does not change the consistency or look of the foundation.

While in Ulta mama asked me about the brand Butter London and I honestly have nothing from the brand and I do not hear about them that often. I started looking at their stuff and ended up getting these weird jelly consistency Glazen Eye Glosses. Of course, I got the colors mermaid and unicorn. I plan on doing a look with the Pirates of the Caribbean palette with the Mermaid eye gloss.

Lastly, I only bought four lip colors and all of them are drug store!

I got the Nyx Slip Tease full color lip oil in Fire Dancer and this is the only one that I am not a huge fan of. The other colors that I have from this line are amazing; however this one is patchy and difficult to make look nice. I am totally in love with Maybelline’s Super Stay Matte Ink in Dreamer and Heroine. I love the formula and the colors are beautiful. They didn’t have all of the colors that I wanted so I am definitely going to be snatching up some more of these. These were sooooo difficult to remove! You will definitely need to remove it with a lip oil or strong make up remover. Lastly, I bought Nyx’s Super Cliquey matte lip stick in In the Red. This color is gorgeous!!! And the formula is smooth and so comfortable.

TR-clockwise: Fire Dancer, Dreamer, Heroine, and In the Red.
Well I hope you enjoyed my first impressions Shreveport haul!
